2010 Camp Schedule

A Camp Just For You!
Camp Korey is specifically designed for children with chronic or life threatening illnesses and allows them to safely enjoy the activities of a "traditional" camp. Between early bird fishing at the lake and evening activities, our campers have the chance to just be kids.

Camp Korey campers foster meaningful friendships with each other and with their counselors. Most importantly, we have FUN FUN FUN!!! Laughter, friendship, excitement, and enthusiasm abound at Carnation Farm, our 818 acres of rolling pasture with majestic mountain views. Campers are empowered to do things they never dreamed they could do, and infused with a spirit of accomplishment at every turn.
Camp Korey Activities:
• Swimming • Arts and Crafts • Horseback Riding
• Theater • Pet Therapy • Fishing
• Dancing • Climbing Wall • ...and so much more!

Pet Therapy Program

We are excited to announce the second year of our Pet Therapy Program for Summer of 2010! Camp Korey has teamed up with dog trainer Diane Rich to offer an optional animal therapy program to our campers.  Last year’s campers loved interacting with the gentle llamas, dogs, and bunnies!

Diane Rich has been training dogs and thei
r people for over 20 years. She and her two Dobermans are registered pet partners visiting, hospitals, nursing homes and retirement facilities. She is the Program Coordinator for the Pet Visitation Program at Overlake Hospital and Overlake’s Specialty School.    Learn more about Diane’s program.

All applications are subject to medical and behavioral review.  Decisions are made based on the child’s inability to attend another camp, the severity of the child’s medical needs and its effects, whether the child has been to Camp Korey before, and other factors (gender, age, etc).  Camp Korey also reserves the right to make selections and decisions based on other factors deemed appropriate.  Please limit your attendance to only one of the Hole in the Wall Association Camps per season.

Ski Camp Success!
Our first-ever Ski Camp program at Snoqualmie Summit was a resounding success. Seven special campers enjoyed an intensive two months of weekly ski lessons, and each progressed farther than they could have hoped. We are so very proud of them!

A HUGE thanks to our friends at Outdoors for All (especially Executive Director Ed Bronsdon), its amazing instructors and volunteers, Camp Korey nurses, parents, and especially our awesome, courageous campers.

“Carpe Ski ‘em!” Enjoy a piece of the action through our slideshow at left.
