By simply completing a matching gift form or logging on to your company’s website, you may be able to double, or even triple, the impact of your gift! We encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful program.

Gifts of Securities: Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds
Making a stock, bond, or mutual fund gift is an easy and tax-wise way to invest in Camp Korey. A gift of appreciated securities may save you taxes twice. You may receive an income tax deduction for the full market value of the contributed shares if you have held them for more than one year, and you avoid capital gains on the appreciation. Please be advised that it is the policy of Camp Korey to sell the securities immediately upon transfer.

Gifts of Real Property
Gifts of real estate can have a real advantage for both the donor and Camp Korey. By contributing long term appreciated real estate, you are allowed an income tax deduction for the fair market value of the property as substantiated by an appraisal. Camp Korey will benefit by selling the property and using the proceeds for its goals and mission.

Other Types of Gifts
If you are interested in donating any of the items on our wish list, please call us to make arrangements for pick up or drop off.

Gifts of personal tangible property (furniture, art works and collectibles) are accepted.

In-kind gifts such as professional services, supplies, building materials, program materials, medical supplies and equipment are accepted.

For tax purposes, a gift is considered made on the date it is mailed, hand delivered or ownership is transferred. For appreciated property, personal tangible property and in-kind gifts, we will recognize the gift based upon its fair market or retail value. Please be advised that it is our policy to sell appreciated properties as soon as possible after the gift is received.

Gift Planning
Planned gifts or estate gifts are an effective way to plan for the future and make a meaningful gift to Camp Korey. Many gift planning strategies are available so contact us for information.

Tribute Gifts
Gifts made in memory of a loved one or in honor of a birthday, anniversary or special occasion. It has a lasting impact. If your gift is a tribute to someone, please include a note telling us the name of the individual or family member you wish us to notify of the gift, along with their address, including your own name and address.

Annual Gifts
These are gifts made on an annual basis and designated for current use—to be used where the money is needed most. Every gift large or small shows that you care about the children who deserve it so much. Thank you.

Capital Gifts
To leave a legacy at Camp Korey one can secure a naming gift opportunity by selecting the building, project, or program that most matches a donor’s goal and those of Camp Korey by pledging or gifting the designated amount.

Gifts Over Time: Pledges
Many donors like to make a large gift but spread payments over time. An annual gift may be paid over a twelve-month period or larger capital gifts may be pledged and paid over multiple years, not to exceed three years. The earlier a gift can be received the better able we are to meet the construction and operations needs for Camp Korey.
