Summer 2010
Camp Korey will hire 15 Summer Staff men/women to work for 10 weeks (June through August) serving children who attend week-long summer camp. Applicants must be 19 years old and employment is contingent on references, criminal background check, and completion of medical history/physical forms.

Summer Staff live in one of our two lodges, sharing living space with co-counselors, volunteers, and campers! Cabin counselors are responsible for the 24-hour care of their assigned campers. Camp work is demanding, and requires long hours, curfews, limited time off, lack of privacy, and pets left at home. We play hard with children, and the rewards are life-changing. Staff leave with new interpersonal skills, membership in a teamwork-focused community, long-lasting friendships, new talents, and the knowledge that they have contributed to bringing fun and joy back into the lives of children with serious illnesses.

You will never have a more exhausting and rewarding summer job--and you may never want to spend another summer away from Camp!

APPLY EARLY! We try to hire all Summer Staff by mid-April.

You will receive an e-mail once your application has been received, and we will work with you to set up a time for your phone interview.

Spending the summer as a Camp Korey Summer Staff Member means lots of hard work...and unbelievable joy! You will watch campers begin their week at Camp Korey convinced that they will not have fun or be able to participate...then end it with a newfound sense of strength and a long list of firsts: first climbing wall summit, first fish, first hot air balloon ride, first time on stage. YOU will have contributed to every camper’s special moment, and that knowledge will stay with you long after the summer is over.
