Warm Fuzzies from beautiful Camp Korey to all of you, our campers, families, parents and caregivers!

We know that this year has been one filled with opportunities to find creative ways to do traditional things, explore unique ways to stay connected, and discover the true meaning of camp.  As I reflect on this past year, and all the challenges that each of our families have experienced, I am reminded of the healing power of camp and how sometimes the best medicine truly is laughter and connection. Moving our camp program to a virtual platform in 2020 was a difficult decision, but one that created unexpected moments of beauty and joy.  While things may have looked and felt a little different, Camp Korey still happened! I watched campers who have never been able to attend camp in person sign on and create lifelong friendships.  We saw campers: dancing in their living rooms, showing off their pets (and other important family members), stepping outside their comfort zone to participate in Stage Night for the first time, or pulling arts and crafts, hobby horses, and archery for some literal “out of the box” camp activities. We baked, we sang, we got pied, we played games, we made friends nationwide, we laughed, and we were continually reminded that camp is not special because of the location, but is special because of the people! People like YOU!

As we look to 2021, the staff at Camp Korey, with invaluable input from campers, alumni, parents and caregivers, has been hard at work continuing to create new and exciting opportunities for you and your family to experience the magic of Camp Korey!

We are so excited to share our schedule with you and provide a wide variety of opportunities for you and your family to have an intentional and memorable camp opportunities!

Warm Fuzzies,
Camp Director Nichol
