Volunteer Summer Cabin Counselor (Session 8: Skeletal Dysplasia)
August 7, 2016 @ 3:00 pm - August 12, 2016 @ 3:00 pm
As a Summer Counselor, you will be paired with a cabin to act as their guide to camp! Your job will be to work together with your fellow cabin co-counselors to make sure that camp is a safe environment where everybody who comes to camp can experience joy, growth and healing. This includes taking care of the daily care needs of your campers like keeping them protected from the sun and hydrated. It could also include leading cabin activities like cabin chat or a fun game.
Camp Korey empowers children and families living with serious medical conditions, through year-round life changing experiences, always free of charge. Our residential summer camp is the prescription for joy, growth, and healing. Campers go on an adventure that helps them disconnect from the stress and isolation of their medical condition, and plug into all the magic of Camp! Campers leave Camp Korey with increased self-esteem, confidence and resiliency.
