Paul O’Mahoney

Camp Korey Program Activity Lead

What do you do at camp?

I help out with the program side of camp, making sure all activities at camp are fun, safe, and inclusive for everyone that comes through the lovely gates of Camp Korey!

Where are you from?

I am from Galway in Ireland, which is just a little bit east of Maine.

When did you start working at camp?

This is my first summer at Camp Korey, but I first started working at SeriousFun camps back in 2016.

Why do you work at camp?

Camp is such a magical place. And I love being able to help provide those magic moments to campers from all over the world!

What do you want all children with a life-altering illness to know about camp?

This is the place for you! We want to be able to show you the magic of camp! Camp Korey is special in that it was made for people just like you!

What is your favorite thing about camp?

I love that camp is welcoming and open and a place where you can be yourself and feel comfortable and safe. Every time I come back to camp; I feel like I am home.

What inspires you?

Campers inspire me! My coworkers at camp inspire me! I am still learning and growing all the time at camp, and so meeting new people at camp and seeing the joy they bring inspires me all the time.
