Dear Camp Korey Community,

“Camp Korey is family” – Camper Dad, Robert

For the past 10 years, Robert, a dedicated Camper Dad, has attended Camp Korey with his entire family. Together, they have experienced a fun, safe, and caring environment, offering fully accessible and adaptive programs that meet each of their children’s unique needs.

“Seven of my children have come through here; this has become a big family affair.”

Robert’s goal is for his family to have 25 years of Camp Korey memories by the time all his children have participated in our programs.

These moments are made possible because of you. Your generosity ensures that Camp Korey remains a free and adaptable place for kids with life-altering medical conditions and their families, just like Robert’s. As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with gratitude and for all that we have accomplished together. 2024 has been another incredible chapter in Camp Korey’s story as we continue to deepen our roots in Skagit County. This year our program team, medical staff, summer staff, and dedicated volunteers created lifelong memories for 2,500 kids and families.

Camp Korey is not just a place where kids and families feel seen and supported, but also where they are empowered to embrace their true, authentic selves. Looking ahead to 2025, we are filled with both excitement and reflection. 2025 will mark the 20th anniversary of Camp Korey’s founding, a milestone made possible by the vision and generosity of our founder, Tim Rose, and our community.

While we look forward to celebrating the impact of Camp Korey on the community, we also face challenges familiar to many non-profits. Despite surpassing our fundraising goals, we’ve had to make thoughtful adjustments to maintain a balanced budget.

Some of the changes will be reflected in our staffing and program structures. Camp Korey will host seven four-day Family Camp sessions during the summer. These family camps will allow us to continue delivering incredible camp experiences while reducing the need for a large summer staff. In the spring, we will offer Family Day Adventures to connect with our community, and in the fall, we will host Family Weekends.

Despite these shifts, our excitement for the future remains steadfast. Together, with your continued support, we are confident that Camp Korey will not only meet the challenges ahead but thrive as we continue to create opportunities for children and families to dream beyond their medical conditions.

To sustain these efforts, we need your help now more than ever. Your donation, no matter the amount, will help us keep our doors open for future generations of campers. With your generous contribution, we can continue providing transformative camp experiences free of charge and ensure that Camp Korey remains a place where laughter is had, friendship is built, and adventure is discovered.

Thank you for your continued, faithful support. We are so grateful to have you as part of the Camp Korey family, and we look forward to celebrating with you in 2025 as we our 20th anniversary and face the future with hope and determination.

Warmly,

Dan Worra, CEO & Andy Fry, Board President
