Camp Korey is a private 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing transformational and adaptable camp programs for children with life-altering medical conditions; entirely free of charge.

Applying for a program at Camp Korey does not ensure enrollment. All applications are reviewed and acceptance is based on space, healthcare needs, and staffing ratios. While we try our best to accommodate everyone, our priority is the health and safety of our campers.

Campers should be able to communicate their needs in some way. Campers should be able to participate and function in a group setting, although we can accommodate some limitations.

Our medical policies are designed to support campers so they can participate in camp activities to the maximum extent to get the most from their time at camp. Camp assignments are made after careful evaluation by our program and medical teams.

For Overnight Summer Camper sessions, the primary camper must:

  • Be between the ages of 7 to 17 years old and have an eligible diagnosis or condition being served during the program.

For Overnight Family sessions, the primary camper must:

  • Be between the ages of 7 to 17 years old and have an eligible diagnosis or condition being served during the program.
  • Have a legal guardian or caregiver accompany them for the entire program.
  • The entire family is welcome (up to 6 immediate family members)! Most of our programming is designed for children ages 7-17. For families with children under 7 years old, please contact our admission team to talk about what your experience may look like.

As always, all our programs are provided at no cost to the family. To register, or ask a question about our programs, please reach out to our Admissions Team at admissionsteam@campkorey.org or call 360-416-4113.

Camp Korey uses the software “CampSite” to make the application process easier for campers and families. (Please visit this link for questions about CampSite’s privacy and security.) All necessary forms and information can be accessed and edited by creating an account for your family.

To protect our campers, staff, and volunteers, Camp Korey requires campers and families to be fully vaccinated for all overnight programming. You can see our current vaccination policy here:

For our family camp sessions: campers remain under the care of their parents or other legal guardians. Our cabins are purposefully built to house campers of all abilities, so there is plenty of room in the bunk area and bathrooms. Each cabin has heating, air conditioning, electrical outlets, and bunk-style beds.

For our camper-only sessions: campers are under the care of 3-4 cabin counselors. Our cabins are purposefully built to house campers of all abilities, so there is plenty of room in the bunk area and bathrooms. Each cabin has heating, air conditioning, electrical outlets, and bunk-style beds.
